High honour from Petrobras lands on CHC do Brasil
For CHC, this nod reflects the consistent delivery of helicopter services that help transport more than 25,000 Petrobras workers offshore safely every month to some of Brazil's most important energy projects.
As a further sign of Petrobras' confidence in CHC's services, the company has also awarded CHC a new five-year crew change contract to support the Búzios oil field.

CHC do Brasil has been named Petrobras' Best Supplier for Air Logistics in the Brazilian state-owned energy company's 2026 Best Supplier Awards, recognising CHC's performance in supporting one of the world's largest offshore energy operators.

Petrobras' Best Supplier Awards recognise companies that deliver outstanding performance in the provision of goods and services across its operations. Suppliers are assessed against a range of criteria including operational performance, quality, HSE performance, ESG performance, management and value generation........

For CHC, this acknowledgement reflects the consistent delivery of helicopter services that help transport more than 25,000 Petrobras workers offshore safely and reliably every month to some of Brazil's most important energy projects.

Gilson Caputo Junior, managing director, Brazil, says: “I am incredibly proud to receive this award on behalf of CHC Brazil. It takes hundreds of colleagues working together across planning, maintenance, flight operations, supply chain and many other functions to deliver the unrivalled helicopter services our customers rely on every day. What makes this Best Supplier recognition so special is what it says about our people and their commitment to delivering outstanding, safe and reliable services year-round.”

As a further sign of Petrobras' confidence in CHC's services, the company has also awarded CHC a new five-year crew change contract to support the Búzios oil field. CHC will transport offshore personnel using an existing S-92 aircraft from its base at Maricá Airport. The contract is scheduled to commence in June 2027.

Búzios is a major contributor to Brazil's energy production and among the country's largest offshore oil developments. Located approximately 180km off the coast of Rio de Janeiro in the Santos Basin pre-salt region, it has achieved successive production records and contains some of the most productive wells in Brazil.

The field is one of a number of deepwater production sites supported by CHC globally. As a global operator, CHC is able to draw on experience from offshore energy basins around the world, applying proven operational practices and learnings from other markets to continuously enhance safety, reliability and service performance in Brazil.

Licia Rocha, senior sales director, Americas and APAC, concludes: “We are delighted to have been awarded this latest contract by Petrobras. It reflects the trust it places in CHC, built through decades of consistently high-performance in support of Petrobras' offshore operations. By combining the expertise of our team in Brazil with the strength of our global organisation, we are well positioned to support our customers as offshore production continues to expand across the region.”
