Private Jet Club launches pay-as-you-go jet membership
Flyers can fund an account starting with $50,000 and replenish their balance after each trip, rather than tying up funds in a traditional jet card deposit.
Lance Tweden, founder and CEO of Private Jet Club.

Colorado-based Private Jet Club has introduced its Deferred Membership Program, a pay-as-you-go private jet membership model that secures guaranteed flights while keeping capital in the flyer’s control.

Rather than tying up significant funds in a traditional jet card deposit, flyers can fund an account starting with $50,000. Members replenish their balance after each trip to maintain their minimum reserve, allowing them to keep the majority of their capital in their own assets.

The launch of Private Jet Club's Deferred Membership Program follows ONEflight International’s notable pause in all flight activity on 15 September. The Englewood, Colorado-based charter broker still holds an estimated $150 million in prepaid customer funds, which clients are unable to use while flights are suspended. The company has not yet filed for bankruptcy.

Lance Tweden says: “Seeing established programmes fold and leave their members empty-handed has created a lot of reservations for some flyers. This new option gives members the certainty of a guaranteed fixed-rate programme without ever leaving six figures on the table.”

Members using the Deferred Membership Program receive the full suite of Private Jet Club Membership benefits. These include guaranteed aircraft availability, fixed hourly rates, no blackout dates, no peak period pricing and guaranteed recovery at no additional cost. The programme also allows members the flexibility to cancel at any time.

Since launching in early 2025, Private Jet Club has prioritised sustainable operations and transparency over rapid programme expansion. The Deferred Membership option reflects this approach to building a responsible, scalable business model that responds to the needs of its members.
