ACASS has added a Bombardier Learjet 70 and Challenger 605 to its Montreal-based managed fleet. Both aircraft will operate under ACASS’s Canadian AOC and are expected to become available for charter in September, expanding the range of aircraft available to the company’s charter clients.

The Learjet 70 is suited to short- and medium-range business and leisure travel, with its speed, performance and operating efficiency providing an option for travel throughout Canada, the US, the Caribbean and other regional destinations. The Challenger 605 provides a larger-cabin, longer-range option, with transcontinental and transatlantic capabilities for longer business and leisure missions.

ACASS CEO Andre Khury says: “The addition of these two aircraft gives our Montreal-based charter clients greater choice and flexibility in selecting the right aircraft for their travel requirements. The Learjet 70 and Challenger 605 complement each other extremely well, allowing us to serve both regional and longer-range missions from our Canadian fleet.”

Aircraft placed on ACASS’s Canadian AOC can be made available for third-party charter when not being used privately, allowing owners to generate revenue that can offset a portion of their aircraft’s operating costs.

“We are increasingly seeing managed aircraft owners recognise the value of incorporating charter into their overall aircraft ownership strategy,” adds Khury. “At the same time, demand for high-quality charter aircraft continues to create opportunities for us to expand the options available to our clients.”

As part of ACASS’s managed fleet, the two aircraft will be supported by its Montreal-based aircraft management and flight operations teams, covering flight operations, maintenance oversight, crew management, safety and regulatory compliance, financial administration and charter support.
