Universal Avionics (Universal) has received an STC from ANAC for its InSight integrated flight display system. This certification complements other STC approvals for InSight from the FAA, TCCA and EASA.
With each new regional validation, Universal simplifies the upgrade process for airframe manufacturers and service centres supporting flight deck modernisation worldwide. This specific Brazilian STC was issued for the Cessna Citation VII, introducing a new flight display system on the aircraft, complete with engine indication and complemented with Universal's comprehensive flight management system.
As legacy CRT displays become increasingly expensive and difficult to maintain, the InSight display system offers aircraft operators a practical, cost-effective retrofit upgrade path: global market access – regional STC validations make it easier for operators and MROs to schedule, install and support retrofits around the world; cost-efficient modernisation – replaces obsolete displays and other equipment with modern systems, lowering high repair costs and shedding up to 200 lbs to increase useful payload; and digital airspace ready – integrates with onboard systems to support modern CPDLC datalink, LPV and RNP precision approaches, and wireless tablet integration for reduced crew workload.
“Expanding InSight's regional approvals gives operators a straightforward, high-value way to modernise,” comments Dror Yahav, CEO of Universal Avionics. “InSight provides a proven digital flight deck solution that helps to resolve display obsolescence, enhance operational flexibility and keep valuable aircraft flying in modern airspace.”
The InSight display system is available directly from Universal Avionics or through its global authorised dealer network.
