Best Jets International completed the Federal Aviation Administration proving runs required for its planned Part 121 supplemental operations on 6 August 2026, a step toward expanding the charter and management company's higher-capacity operations.

The proving runs tested the operator's personnel, aircraft, procedures, maintenance programme and operational systems under flight conditions, a required stage of Part 121 supplemental certification. Final FAA approval is expected within around three weeks, subject to the agency's remaining review and administrative requirements.

Best Jets is preparing a fleet of four Embraer E170 aircraft for the new operations, comprising two 30-passenger and two 60-passenger examples. All four aircraft are due to complete conformity inspections by 1 November 2026.

This achievement represents an exciting step forward for Best Jets and will allow us to significantly expand our charter footprint in the Part 121 market while continuing to deliver the safety, service and responsiveness our customers expect.”

Once approved, Best Jets will operate under both Part 121 and Part 135, extending its charter services to corporations, professional sports teams, college athletic programmes, music and entertainment groups and VIP travellers requiring customised group transport. The company also plans to expand its corporate shuttle programmes for organisations with recurring workforce and business travel needs, including in oil and gas, financial services, manufacturing, retail, banking and government. The Embraer E170s will sit alongside Best Jets' existing midsize, super-midsize and long-range fleet.
