Two Travellers will head to Tropic Air Charters
The first P2012 Traveller is expected to join the Tropic Air Charters fleet in the coming months, ready to serve the peak Caribbean travel season.
The PC-12’s advanced avionics and twin-engine reliability provide peace of mind for over-water operations, while its STOL capabilities ensure access to the shortest island runways in the Bahamas.

Tropic Air Charters is to acquire two new P2012 Traveller aircraft in order to significantly upgrade its high-end charter and VIP flight services connecting South Florida and the Bahamas. Based at Fort Lauderdale Executive airport, the company has built a reputation for reliable island connectivity. This acquisition starts the official phasing out its legacy Britten-Norman fleet and transition to the modern, passenger-centric P2012 Traveller.

The P2012 Traveller offers passengers a spacious, air-conditioned cabin, premium interiors, USB ports and expansive windows for breathtaking views of the Bahamian waters. Furthermore, the aircraft’s advanced avionics and twin-engine reliability provide peace of mind for over-water operations, while its STOL capabilities ensure access to the shortest island runways in the Bahamas.

“Our mission has always been to provide exceptional, seamless travel experiences for our clients heading to the Bahamas,” says president Anthony Marinello. “Phasing out our legacy aircraft for the brand-new Tecnam P2012 Traveller allows us to offer a completely elevated, high-end charter product. The comfort, twin-engine safety and modern amenities of the P2012 are exactly what our discerning South Florida and Bahamian clientele expect.”

“We are delighted to welcome Tropic Air Charters to the Tecnam family,” adds Francesco Sferra, Tecnam P2012 special mission platforms sales and business development manager. “The P2012 was designed precisely for this kind of demanding, high-frequency, island-hopping environment. Seeing operators like Tropic Air choose the P2012 to replace older legacy fleets is a testament to the aircraft’s superior economics, performance and passenger appeal. We are excited to see these beautiful aircraft flying the skies between Fort Lauderdale and the Bahamas.”
