Beyond Aero has appointed Huginn Aviation as its area sales representative for Denmark, Norway, Sweden and Finland, expanding its commercial footprint in northern Europe ahead of the BYA-1 hydrogen-electric business aircraft programme.
Based in Denmark, Huginn Aviation specialises in aircraft sales, acquisitions, appraisals and aviation consultancy. As Beyond Aero's regional representative, the company will engage with aircraft owners, operators, flight departments, brokers and infrastructure stakeholders across the four Nordic markets, and contribute to regional dialogue around hydrogen-electric aviation.
The Nordic region is considered particularly relevant for the BYA-1 because of its short-to-medium regional missions, dispersed airport networks and demanding operating conditions, including critical use cases such as medevac. Sweden alone recorded more than 95,000 business aviation movements in 2024. The country is also targeting fossil-free domestic flights by 2030 and fossil-free operations from all Swedish airports by 2045.
Beyond Aero is developing the BYA-1, a six-passenger hydrogen-electric business aircraft with a stated range of 800 nm. The programme is built around fuel cell technology, gaseous hydrogen tank integration and advanced cooling systems. The company has secured $2 billion in letters of intent, completed France's first manned hydrogen-electric flight and acquired the assets, intellectual property and flight data of Universal Hydrogen Co.
“The Nordics are a highly relevant market for Beyond Aero because they combine demanding regional missions, strong sustainability ambitions and operators actively looking to the future of business aviation,” says Benjamin Le Drogo, head of sales at Beyond Aero. “Huginn Aviation brings the regional expertise, trusted relationships and long-term perspective needed to help us structure that dialogue with aircraft owners, operators, flight departments and infrastructure stakeholders.”
Beyond Aero is also engaged with BSR HyAirport, an EU-funded transnational initiative working to prepare regional airports for green hydrogen storage, handling and delivery.
