Ontic has appointed Jean-Christophe (JC) Gallagher as chief executive officer as the aerospace supplier prepares for its next phase of international growth.
Gallagher joins the business following a 20-year career at Bombardier, where he most recently served as executive vice president of aircraft sales and defence. He succeeds Gareth Hall, who moves into the role of executive chairman after more than a decade leading Ontic’s expansion.
The company says the leadership transition supports its long-term strategy as demand grows across civil and military aviation markets.
Hall says: “Ontic is entering an exciting new phase of growth, and this is the right moment to add to our leadership structure to match that opportunity. JC brings deep aerospace expertise and a strong track record of leading high-performing global teams. His appointment further strengthens our senior leadership and positions Ontic to build on the momentum we have created.”
Ontic has continued to expand its portfolio and operational footprint around its core focus of sustaining aircraft systems and extending fleet longevity.
Hall adds: “What stood out most about JC was his alignment with Ontic's strategy, values and long-term ambition. He brings enormous energy, global perspective and a clear passion for this industry. He will be a strong champion for our customers, partners and people.”
Gallagher himself says: “Ontic plays a vital role in keeping aircraft flying for generations, and I'm honoured to join a team so deeply committed to that mission. The company's purpose, supporting a lifetime of flight, resonates strongly with me, and I'm excited to build on the exceptional momentum Gareth and the team have created.”
The transition will take place progressively over the coming months, with Hall and Gallagher working together to maintain continuity for customers, partners and employees as the company continues to scale globally.
