BAS Part Sales has launched its Core Exchange Program, bringing a more transparent online process to the exchange aircraft parts market.
Built around the company’s existing e-commerce platform, the programme gives aircraft owners, operators, repair stations and maintenance teams access to eligible exchange components with published pricing, detailed listings, high-resolution images of actual units, online checkout, fast shipping and defined core return terms.
The launch targets a part of the aviation aftermarket that BAS says has often remained slow-moving and heavily dependent on quote requests, emails and availability checks before customers can make purchasing decisions.
According to the company, the programme is intended to reduce delays for maintenance teams facing tight schedules or grounded aircraft by putting condition details, pricing and availability online upfront.
The system also expands on BAS Part Sales’ long-standing business model of recovering aircraft that are no longer practical to return to service, dismantling them and converting usable components into searchable inventory for the active fleet.
Customers using the Core Exchange Program can review available units, examine photos of actual components, understand pricing and complete purchases through the online platform.
“Traditional core exchange is often slow, gated and unclear, and that creates real challenges for shops and operators trying to keep aircraft moving,” says Clinton McJenkin, director of sales and marketing at BAS Part Sales. “Our goal with this programme is to remove unnecessary back-and-forth by putting the critical buying information online upfront. Customers can see the unit, understand the terms, know the price and move forward with more confidence.”
