St Barth opts for P2012 STOL for inter-island routes
More than the introduction of a new aircraft, this development reflects a broader evolution in regional travel across the Caribbean, where efficiency, frequency and passenger experience are increasingly interconnected.
The aircraft cuts a striking figure in the West Indies sun.

St Barth Executive, a VIP air charter company located in St Barth, is expanding scheduled operations in the Caribbean, with the introduction of the Tecnam P2012 STOL aircraft on the high-demand route between Sint Maarten and St Barthélemy, commencing regular service on 30 April.

Operating from Sint Maarten's Princess Juliana International airport, this new service by St Barth Executive has been designed to enhance connectivity between major international gateways and the island of St Barth. It offers a seamless transition for passengers travelling to and from Europe and the Americas, elevating the final leg of their journey to match the luxury of their destination.

More than the introduction of a new aircraft, this development reflects a broader evolution in regional travel across the Caribbean, where operational efficiency, frequency and passenger experience are increasingly interconnected.

The Tecnam P2012 STOL (Short Take-Off and Landing) plays a central role in enabling this new approach. Saint-Barthélemy's 646m runway requires a significant approach gradient due to the close proximity of a hill on the flight path. The P2012 STOL is engineered precisely for this environment: its 425m takeoff distance, 360m landing distance and certified 10 degree (17.5 per cent) steep approach capability ensure outstanding, dependable performance.

Its integration within St Barth Executive's operations allows for optimised scheduling, increased frequency and a consistent level of service aligned with the expectations of an international premium clientele. Comfortably seating nine passengers, the P2012 STOL brings the luxury of modern amenities to Caribbean regional travel, featuring premium interiors, in-seat power, superior legroom and under-seat stowage.

“The P2012 STOL is the perfect platform for a unique environment like the West Indies,” says Francesco Sferra, Tecnam P2012 sales and special missions manager. “St Barth's challenging approach requires an aircraft with exceptional short-field capabilities and rugged reliability. At the same time, passengers flying this route expect the space, premium comfort and modern amenities of a state-of-the-art twin-engine aircraft. We are incredibly proud to see St Barth Executive utilising the P2012 STOL to set a completely new standard for luxury regional mobility.”

“At St Barth Executive, our ambition is not simply to connect islands, but to redefine the travel experience across the Caribbean,” adds Vincent Beauvarlet, CEO of St Barth Executive. “The Tecnam P2012 plays a key role in this vision, enabling a level of efficiency and frequency that allows us to deliver a seamless and refined journey, from international arrival to final destination in St Barth.”

By combining advanced aircraft capabilities with a service-driven approach, St Barth Executive and Tecnam contribute to shaping a new standard for regional air mobility in the Caribbean, one that places equal emphasis on performance, connectivity and passenger experience.
