Galaxy FBO has expanded its Texas footprint with the addition of operations at Big Spring/McMahon-Wrinkle Airport, taking over the airport’s city-run FBO services and integrating the site into its network.
The facility includes a 4,500-square-foot terminal and three hangars offering more than 53,000 square feet of storage. Upgrade work is already underway across the terminal, hangars and support areas, with completion targeted for June 2026 without disrupting operations.
Jamie Munoz, vice president of sales at Galaxy FBO, says: “Our expansion to McMahon-Wrinkle Airport represents more than just geographic growth; it's an investment in the future of west Texas aviation. We're excited to bring our signature hospitality, efficiency and elevated service experience to the Big Spring aviation community.”
Further development is planned, including new hangars on a 21-acre site adjacent to the existing infrastructure, reflecting rising demand and interest in the airport.
Located along key flight corridors, the airport serves as a refuelling stop for general and business aviation. Its 8,803-foot runway supports a wide range of aircraft, while proximity to the Permian Basin positions it as a base for energy sector activity.
Mike Feeley, airport director at Big Spring/McMahon-Wrinkle Airport, says: “Paired with Galaxy FBO's world-renowned service and hospitality, this expansion secures Big Spring/ McMahon-Wrinkle Airport's place on the map as a premier base for corporate operators, a gateway to the Permian Basin and a trusted transcontinental fuel stop for discerning flight departments across North America.”
