Vista adds Global 8000 as fleet upgrade begins
Initial delivery has launched a phased conversion of 18 aircraft, increasing range and speed while supporting more direct global routes for members.
The aircraft’s 8,000 nautical mile range supports more direct intercontinental routes.

Vista has introduced the Bombardier Global 8000 into its fleet, taking delivery of the first aircraft and making the type available to members as part of a wider upgrade programme.

The aircraft was handed over at Bombardier’s London Biggin Hill Service Centre and marks the start of a planned conversion of Vista’s Global 7500 fleet. Two aircraft per month are set to be upgraded, with all 18 expected to operate as Global 8000 jets by year end.

The move will create the largest subscription fleet of the type and expand Vista’s ability to serve long-haul demand, particularly on routes linking regions such as Europe and Asia.

With a range of 8,000 nautical miles and a top speed of Mach 0.95, the Global 8000 supports faster journeys and more direct routing. Cabin features include extended interior space and a low cabin altitude of 2,691 feet, designed to improve comfort on longer flights.

The programme has received certification from Transport Canada, the Federal Aviation Administration and the European Union Aviation Safety Agency.

“These developments mark another important milestone in Vista's ongoing commitment to operating the most advanced fleet in private aviation,” says Thomas Flohr, founder and chairman of Vista. “For our members, greater speed and extended range translate directly into practical benefits such as reaching their destination faster or travelling more efficiently with direct flights. With more members flying further and more frequently, these capabilities allow us to offer greater flexibility while maintaining the consistency and service that sets Vista apart.”

“The Global 8000 stands apart as a truly no compromise aircraft, delivering unmatched speed, exceptional comfort and industry-leading field performance,” says Eric Martel, president and CEO, Bombardier. “With the addition of the Global 8000 to its fleet, Vista will offer its customers the best of what is possible in the industry.”

The delivery follows a February 2026 agreement between Vista and Bombardier covering 40 Challenger 3500 aircraft, with options for a further 120.
