Silver Air goes digital with Bluetail record management
Replacing paper-based systems has reduced delays in compliance checks, allowing aircraft to enter charter operations sooner and improving audit readiness.

Silver Air Private Jets has implemented Bluetail’s cloud-based aircraft record management platform, digitising maintenance records and streamlining conformity processes across its fleet.

The move replaces paper logbooks with a fully searchable system, cutting the time required to bring newly acquired aircraft into revenue-generating service and strengthening readiness for FAA audits.

Because Silver Air’s business is centred on charter operations, the pace of aircraft conformity remains closely tied to financial performance. Aircraft that remain in compliance review delay revenue for both operator and owner.

Bluetail has become central to how we operate day to day,” says Ava Troiani, project manager at Silver Air. “The ability to search through an aircraft’s entire record history in minutes rather than digging through binders for weeks has changed the pace at which we work.”

The limitations of paper-based systems became clear during onboarding of aircraft previously operated overseas, including in China and Singapore, where maintenance records varied in format and language, increasing the burden of manual review.

“When we first started pulling records on aircraft that had been maintained overseas, we quickly realised that paper was not going to scale,” says Troiani. “There had to be a better way, and Bluetail turned out to be it.”

Bluetail’s MACH Search function enables rapid retrieval of maintenance documents, airworthiness directives and supplemental type certificates. Its compliance module also supported a six-month fleet-wide audit of directives, service bulletins and 337 supplemental type certificates, feeding directly into required Continued Analysis and Surveillance meetings.

“Silver Air is a great example of what happens when an operator commits to doing things right,” says Roberto Guerrieri, CEO of Bluetail. “It didn’t just adopt the technology; it built real operational discipline around it.”

Bluetail, based in Scottsdale, Arizona, provides digital record management and compliance tools for Part 135 and Part 91 operators worldwide.
