Gulfstream taps Davies to run Farnborough service ops
Nearly three decades of aviation experience position Matt Davies to oversee operations and customer support at Gulfstream’s key U.K. service facility.
Davies's career includes positions with Honeywell Aerospace and GE Aircraft Engine Services. He is a member of the Royal Aeronautical Society.

Gulfstream Aerospace has appointed Matt Davies as director of service centre operations at its Farnborough facility in England, effective immediately.

Davies will oversee all Farnborough service centre operations and lead delivery of support for customers and operators using the U.K. site. The role includes responsibility for maintaining service standards that are safe, reliable and efficient.

“Matt's extensive experience and leadership make him an excellent addition to our Farnborough team and an important resource for our U.K. and regional customers,” says Lor Izzard, senior vice president, Gulfstream customer support. “He will play a key role in continuing to deliver the quality of service and customer experience that define Gulfstream's worldwide support network.”

He brings nearly 30 years of aviation experience, much of it with Airinmar, an AAR company specialising in aircraft and component maintenance management services. Davies most recently served as general manager at Airinmar after progressing through multiple roles.

The Farnborough service centre opened in 2020 and spans 225,000 square feet, with capacity for up to 13 large Gulfstream aircraft. It links with Gulfstream’s London Sales and Design Center in Mayfair, extending in-region support through access to sales and interior design teams.
