Advanced Aviation Team builds executive leadership
A second former White House travel director has joined the firm, reinforcing the company's expertise in high-stakes logistics.
Newell joins founder and CEO Gregg Brunson-Pitts, former director of the White House Travel Office under President George W. Bush, forming a leadership team of two former presidential travel directors.

Advanced Aviation Team (AAT) has appointed Peter Newell as president, adding senior leadership experience in political travel and complex aviation logistics.

Newell brings more than 20 years of experience spanning high-stakes travel, political operations and executive strategy. He spent nearly nine years in senior roles at KPMG advising on transactions and growth strategies. Earlier roles included director of the White House Travel Office under President Obama and chief of staff to the campaign manager for the Obama-Biden 2012 re-election campaign, overseeing mission-critical logistics.

“Peter's background aligns perfectly with where AAT is headed,” says Gregg Brunson-Pitts, CEO of Advanced Aviation Team. “He understands the operational precision required when travel is high-visibility, time-sensitive or security-intensive. His leadership strengthens our ability to serve clients operating at the highest levels.”

The move supports a broader growth phase for AAT as demand rises for discreet aviation services tailored to political and executive clients.

“Mission-critical travel demands precision and discipline,” says Peter Newell, president of Advanced Aviation Team. “AAT has built a reputation for discretion, execution and results. I look forward to helping scale the firm and serving clients who require trust and absolute reliability.”
