Southeast Bell 407 mod gets EASA nod
This EASA validation allows operators in Europe and other EASA-recognised jurisdictions to utilise Southeast Aerospace's mission console installation on Bell 407 aircraft, expanding the availability of SEA's capabilities.
International operators will be supported.

Southeast Aerospace (SEA), a US provider of aerospace solutions and aircraft modification services, has been issued an STC by EASA for the installation of a mission console on the Bell 407 helicopter.

This EASA validation allows operators in Europe and other EASA-recognised jurisdictions to utilise Southeast Aerospace's mission console installation on Bell 407 aircraft, expanding the availability of SEA's special mission capabilities to a broader global customer base. The STC supports installation of a fully integrated mission console system, designed to enable efficient operation of mission equipment for law enforcement, surveillance, search and rescue, and other specialised aviation operations.

The validation applies to Bell 407 helicopters, originally certified under EASA type certificate EASA.IM.R.512, held by Bell Textron Canada Limited.

“This EASA validation represents an important milestone for Southeast Aerospace and further demonstrates our commitment to supporting international special mission operators,” says Nathan Hernandez, business development sales manager of Southeast Aerospace. “By making this STC available to European operators, we are expanding access to mission-ready aircraft solutions that enhance operational capability, flexibility and efficiency.”

With decades of experience in aircraft modification, avionics integration and mission system installation, Southeast Aerospace continues to support global government, law enforcement and commercial operators with certified solutions for specialised aviation missions.
