Aero-Dienst, one of Europe's full-service providers for business aviation and air ambulance services, is celebrating its Vienna line maintenance station's 20th anniversary. The milestone was marked with an event attended by customers, partners and employees. Since its founding in 2006, the Nuremberg, Germany-headquartered company's station has become a core maintenance partner for Austrian and international business aviation customers, and it is now the longest-serving maintenance provider for this sector at Vienna airport.

What began two decades ago as a line maintenance location for Learjet operators stationed in Vienna has now developed into a comprehensive service centre for a range of different aircraft types. The scope of services covers all central service and maintenance items that are included in the line maintenance approval remit for the entire Bombardier product range, from the Learjet 45/60 to the Challenger 300/600 and the Global 7500, as well as the Dassault Falcon 2000EX Easy, 900EX Easy and Falcon 6X jets. The Vienna line station has also been certified as a Dassault authorised service centre since 2017. Aero-Dienst added yet another popular aircraft type to its portfolio when it began providing line services for Phenom 300 jets in mid-2024.

The dedicated and highly qualified local team, which has grown to 11 employees in recent years, has made the greatest contribution to the Vienna line station's successful evolution. It includes six licensed technicians with multiple type ratings, each of whom has more than 20 years of experience in aircraft maintenance. The team is supported by its own logistics system and by professional work scheduling that underpins the administration of customer orders. By expanding its hangar area to around 16,000 sq ft two years ago, Aero-Dienst took another key step in its long-term growth strategy, enabling more flexible and efficient workflows. Currently, up to 500 service and maintenance events are carried out in Vienna every year.

Christian Weigl, the Vienna station manager, notes: “Many regular customers make a point of using their scheduled stops in Vienna for maintenance work. The appeal of Vienna Airport as a major business aviation hub, along with our central location, which offers easy access to many neighbouring airports such as Graz, Salzburg, Prague, Budapest and Zagreb for AOG cases, has played a key role here.” Aero-Dienst also operates a component shop for wheels and batteries at the site, maintaining a stock of suitable replacement parts that enable the company to support customers efficiently and flexibly.

In addition to its headquarters in Nuremberg, Aero-Dienst also operates stations at Vienna, Klagenfurt and Graz in Austria and a maintenance station near Munich in Oberpfaffenhofen. Its component shop in Landsberg am Lech allows Aero-Dienst to provide fast and local repairs for maintenance operators in Europe, the Middle East and Africa. With the establishment of Aero-Dienst America, founded at the end of 2025 in Palm Beach, Florida, the company has also gained access to urgently required aircraft parts while expanding its ability to offer comprehensive consulting services to existing and new customers seeking to position themselves strategically within the aviation supply chain.
