Tiger Helicopters digitises UK training with FlightLogger
The digital platform will replace the academy’s spreadsheets and manual workflows across DTO and ATO operations.
Civilian DTO and advanced ATO operations will transition onto the platform in early 2026.

Tiger Helicopters is modernising its helicopter training infrastructure through the implementation of FlightLogger’s integrated digital platform at its Shobdon Airfield base in the UK. The move replaces manual and spreadsheet-based processes with a unified system managing training, compliance and resource planning in one environment.

Established in 1992, Tiger Helicopters has trained thousands of rotary-wing pilots for civilian, government and police operations worldwide. The academy delivers civilian flight training and bespoke police pre-type rating programmes through a 100-hour foundational syllabus that includes mountain flying, load operations and advanced airmanship.

Its fleet comprises Robinson R22, R44 and R66 helicopters alongside Bell 206 JetRanger and 505 aircraft, supporting both local students and international contracts. The organisation also collaborates with Robinson Helicopter Company and is exploring additional partnerships in the UK and overseas to expand its civilian and police-focused training programmes.

“Our training operation spans everything from private and commercial licences to complex police and other pilot development programmes,” says Fred Perry, director at Tiger Helicopters. “By implementing FlightLogger, we're unifying our operations under one modern, digital system, bringing efficiency, structure and compliance to every aspect of training.”
