Nakanihon Air expands Bell 429 fleet for Japan HEMS
Two additional helicopters strengthen emergency medical response capability and reinforce a long-standing partnership with Bell.
The Bell 429 supports a range of missions worldwide, with more than 500 aircraft in service and over 811,900 accumulated flight hours.

Nakanihon Air is expanding its helicopter emergency medical services fleet with an order for two additional Bell 429 aircraft. The agreement builds on its 2017 acquisition of two aircraft of the same type and reflects its continued investment in multi-mission capability across Japan.

Nakanihon operates more than 10 Bell helicopters spanning the 430, 412 and 429 models. An authorised customer service facility since 1994, the company has acquired around 80 Bell aircraft over the past six decades, underscoring a long-standing operational relationship with Bell Textron Inc..

“We are thrilled that Nakanihon has chosen to expand its Bell 429 fleet, bringing its total Bell helicopter fleet to approximately 80 over nearly six decades,” says David Sale, managing director Asia Pacific at Bell. “Its continued trust in the Bell 429 for HEMS operations highlights the aircraft's exceptional performance, speed and low vibration. These milestones reflect the confidence our customers place in Bell and our commitment to providing tailored solutions and seamless support across Asia Pacific.”
