FL3XX updates leadership as founders move into executive roles
A revised executive team supports continued platform growth as operators increase reliance on connected digital aviation systems.
Stefan Oberender, FL3XX’s new CEO, says: “My focus is on continuing to develop the platform in line with operator needs while ensuring the organisation scales in a way that remains connected and grounded.”

FL3XX has revised its global leadership structure through a series of senior executive promotions as the aviation management platform enters its next phase of growth.

Under the updated structure, co-founder Paolo Sommariva becomes chairman while fellow co-founder Stefan Oberender assumes the role of CEO with responsibility for company strategy and overall leadership.

The executive team is further supported by Manuel Gusterer as chief operating officer overseeing operations and service delivery. Filip Ranebo leads marketing and sales as chief revenue officer while Sergiy Tavanets serves as chief technology officer responsible for technology and platform development.

The leadership update follows a period of sustained momentum, with FL3XX processing more than $1 billion in operator revenue between June 2024 and November 2025. Growth has been particularly strong in North America, driven by rapid aircraft onboarding and expanding adoption among operators transitioning to digital platforms.
