AirX has signed a binding agreement with Eve Air Mobility for the purchase of up to 50 eVTOL aircraft, marking a step forward in delivering sustainable air mobility solutions to Japan.
"We are excited to partner with Eve Air Mobility to bring next-generation air transportation to Japan," says Kiwamu Tezuka, CEO, AirX. "This collaboration reinforces our commitment to sustainability and innovation."
Deliveries of the first two aircraft are expected in 2029, with further aircraft to follow as demand grows. AirX plans to integrate Eve’s all-electric aircraft into its operations, offering quiet and zero-emission flights for urban and regional routes.
“Our first agreement in Asia Pacific, achieved in partnership with AirX in Japan, is more than a milestone; it launches a new era that will redefine urban mobility,” adds Johann Bordais, CEO, Eve Air Mobility.
The aircraft will support routes in Tokyo and Osaka, enhancing sightseeing experiences and enabling efficient last-mile transport. Eve’s eVTOLs are built for safety and passenger comfort, while cutting emissions and noise.
