Hartzell adds Lamar Technologies to expand power systems offering
Lamar’s electrical power systems will continue to be manufactured independently in Washington while supporting global growth in the Hartzell portfolio.

Hartzell Engine Tech has added Lamar Technologies to its group of firewall-forward engine accessory brands. Lamar’s advanced aviation electrical components and power systems will now be offered alongside Hartzell Engine Tech’s existing brands such as Sky-Tec and Plane-Power.

The Lamar Technologies team and manufacturing will continue operating independently in Marysville, Washington. For over 30 years, the company has supplied OEMs and supported global distribution with products including voltage regulators, alternator controls and battery chargers. Its certified systems are used on over 85% of current piston and turbine aircraft.

“Adding the Lamar Technologies brand with the Hartzell Engine Tech family of brands broadens the electrical systems portfolio and strengthens our ability to support aircraft operators worldwide,” says Keith Bagley, group president of Signia Aerospace.

Derek Grafenauer, general manager of Lamar Technologies, says, “Pairing our product line with that of Hartzell Engine Tech is an exciting next step for our customers. We look forward to leveraging resources and global reach to accelerate growth while continuing to deliver the reliable power and control products our customers depend on.”
