US FBO chain SheltAir Aviation is celebrating the ribbon-cutting of its brand-new FBO at Sarasota Bradenton International airport, marking the official debut of a first-class gateway on Florida's Gulf Coast.

The ceremony welcomed airport dignitaries, partners, guests, employees and community leaders to tour the terminal's bright, spacious lobby and dedicated VIP charter lounge, along with premium crew amenities and business resources designed for productivity and ease.

Sheltair Sarasota offers the hallmark hospitality and exceptional line services the company is known for, including full ground support and concierge care. Its convenient location, just minutes from downtown Sarasota and Bradenton, provides quick access to major business centres, shopping and the region's famous white-sand beaches.

“The opening of Sheltair SRQ marks more than a milestone; it reflects our commitment to exceptional service,” says Lisa Holland, president of SheltAir Aviation. “We've created a space that blends refined comfort with thoughtful design, giving every guest an experience that's both elevated and warmly personal.”
Set on 24 acres in the airport's north quadrant, the impressive facility features a 10,705 sq ft terminal crowned by an immense airside canopy designed to accommodate corporate aircraft of all sizes while covering guests during arrivals and departures. The facility also includes two modern hangars totalling 46,000 sq ft of aircraft storage and more than 9,000 sq ft of office space.
The beautifully-designed FBO boasts private passenger, dedicated VIP and fully equipped crew lounges, snooze rooms, and dedicated flight planning and weather areas. Guests have access to two fully-equipped conference rooms with seating for 14 people in the large board room and six in the smaller conference room. Guests also have 24-hour office access and personalised concierge service. Complimentary refreshments, wi-fi and ample parking further elevate the guest experience, while an electric vehicle charging station supports Sheltair's ongoing commitment to sustainability.

“We're excited to welcome SheltAir Aviation to the Sarasota Bradenton International airport. Its new state-of-the-art facility provides premium services for our general aviation community, supports our growing airport operations and strengthens SRQ's position as the premier gateway to Florida's Gulf Coast,” states Paul Hoback Jr, president and CEO of Sarasota Bradenton International.
Construction is also underway on a general aviation Federal Inspection Station (FIS), located immediately adjacent to the Sheltair complex. It is targeted to open in spring 2026, enabling efficient international arrivals at the airport. Future development plans at the site include additional hangars and a 60,000 sq ft MRO facility.
