The Korean National Police Agency has ordered one Airbus H225 helicopter, making it a new customer for Airbus Helicopters. The aircraft will be used for law enforcement and counter terrorism operations, as well as for search and rescue, disaster response and humanitarian relief.
“We are honoured to welcome the Korean National Police Agency to the Airbus family,” says Vincent Dubrule, head of Asia-Pacific at Airbus Helicopters. “The H225 has earned a global reputation as a reliable, multi-mission workhorse. We are confident it will become a cornerstone asset for the police agency, enabling it to carry out complex missions with precision and safety.”
The H225 is part of the Super Puma family and is known for high performance in demanding environments, long range and strong payload capabilities. Its avionics and autopilot systems help increase safety and reduce pilot workload.
More than 360 H225 and H225M aircraft are flying globally, having accumulated close to 980,000 flight hours. Military users include Brazil, France, Hungary, Indonesia, Iraq, Kuwait, Malaysia, Mexico, the Netherlands, Singapore and Thailand.
