At Dubai Airshow 2025, Jekta signed a letter of intent with UAE-based Tahseen Aviation Services to explore how amphibious operations could support transportation needs across the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC), as well as parts of Africa and Asia.
The collaboration will focus on identifying routes and applications where the PHA-ZE 100 amphibious aircraft could offer commercial and operational advantages, especially for business aviation, cargo and logistics and oil field services.
Jekta is developing the PHA-ZE 100, a zero-emissions amphibious aircraft designed for multi-use operations. It can operate from water, paved or unpaved runways, providing flexible and efficient access to luxury hotels, remote islands, business centres and oil and gas fields.
“The PHA-ZE 100 amphibious aircraft is designed to operate in various types of environments, which enables multiple operating parameters. In a region as geographically and commercially diverse as the GCC, we know it will add real value to the region's transport network at a time when land infrastructure is struggling to keep pace with expansion demand,” says George Alafinov, CEO of Jekta.
Abdulla Almutareb, chairman and CEO of Tahseen Aviation, adds: “Our interest in working with Jekta signals our consideration for potential future collaboration around amphibious operations to build on our established business. We believe that amphibious aviation has the potential to transform the region's transportation network but want to secure data to inform our next steps.”
Jekta has secured over USD$1.35 billion in forward commitments since the 2022 launch of the PHA-ZE 100 and plans to begin production in 2030 or 2031.
