SkyTrac and Airbus launch Helionix line-fit alerting for four types
The satellite and cellular-enabled system transmits UMS data in flight to help operators meet safety and offshore standards.
The alerting system is already proven in use with leading H135 and H145 operators.

SkyTrac and Airbus Helicopters have launched a line-fit real-time Helionix alerting solution for Airbus H135, H145, H160 and H175 rotorcraft. The system is powered by SkyTrac’s ISAT-200A and integrates with Airbus’ Helionix avionics system to transmit in-flight operational data to ground crews via the Iridium satellite network.

Data transmitted includes UMS exceedances, tail number, aircraft position, time, speed, altitude, OEI alerts, fuel level, caution panel alerts and chip detection events. Operators can also offload these parameters post-flight over the cellular network to streamline workflows and reduce manual data handling.

The solution meets IOGP 690 standards for offshore operators and supports helicopter emergency medical services through improved real-time visibility of UMS parameters.

Rodrigo Lima, director of business development at SkyTrac, says: “We are excited to be able to announce the availability of this solution in partnership with Airbus and highlight how we are committed to providing solutions that benefit the safety of air transport operators in the oil and gas industry and beyond. Our strong partnership and history with Airbus enables us to deliver this solution for H135, H145, H160 and H175 operators, ensuring they have access to the real-time flight data they need to meet regulatory standards and operate effectively in all environments.”

SkyTrac and Airbus have a history of collaboration, including selection for the H160M French Joint Light Helicopter Programme and previous factory-installed avionics solutions across various rotorcraft types. The Helionix alerting solution is available as a line-fit option and may be retrofitted depending on the aircraft serial number.
