Subaru Bell 412EPX training device achieves JCAB certification
The TRU Simulation-built system was assessed by the Japanese Civil Aviation Bureau and approved for use in Subaru’s advanced pilot training programmes.
This is the second training device TRU has delivered to Subaru, expanding their collaboration in advanced simulation technology.

TRU Simulation + Training has received Level 5 qualification from the Japanese Civil Aviation Bureau for the Subaru Bell 412EPX flight training device. The certification represents a key step in strengthening rotorcraft training capacity within Japan.

Developed jointly with Bell, the device enables Subaru pilots to train across diverse operations, from passenger transport to complex search and rescue missions. Its design replicates real-world flight dynamics, engine performance and control responses, giving crews realistic exposure to both normal and emergency conditions.

“Subaru pilots flying some of Japan's most critical missions now have access to immersive, high-fidelity training that builds confidence and readiness for any scenario,” said Jerry Messaris, vice president and general manager at TRU Simulation.

This is the second TRU-built device supplied to Subaru, continuing the partnership’s expansion of advanced simulation tools. The system supports both visual and instrument flight rule environments, with a tailored visual database allowing full immersion for search and rescue training.
