Ingenio Aerospace has launched its AeroPortal system, a modular solution aimed at reducing the cost and complexity of aircraft interior modifications. The system comprises the AeroPuck and AeroReceptacle, designed to streamline component integration in both cockpit and cabin environments.

AeroPortal introduces standardised electromechanical connection points, enabling the simple plug-in of devices such as screens, lighting and cameras without repeated rewiring. It supports the Modular Open Systems Approach (MOSA) for future-proofing interiors through interchangeable components.

Ingenio has confirmed that Aloft AeroArchitects, a BBJ-authorised service centre, has carried out the first installation of AeroPortal. The system aligns with Aloft’s support of the MOSIAC Aero framework and simplifies in-service upgrades.

“The AeroPortal system is a game-changer for our customer projects,” said Colby Hall, managing director of emerging technology and innovation at Aloft. “We can now make technical changes without redesigning parts or modifying wiring.”

At the core of the system is the AeroPuck, offering USB PD charging up to 100W, 10 Gb ethernet, PoE support and 30lb accessory capability. It is built from aviation-grade aluminium, complies with RoHS standards and is qualified to DO-160G for safety and performance.

James Bell, president and CEO of Ingenio Aerospace, said: “AeroPortal is the key to unlocking true design freedom in aviation… while offering aircraft owners limitless, situational customisability.”
