HALO-Flight is working with Bell Textron to renew its fleet as it takes delivery of a new IFR-equipped Bell 407GXi. As the fifth and final Bell 407GXi to be delivered as part of the fleet renewal, the ceremony at AMTC, Omaha marked another milestone in the long-standing relationship between Bell and HALO-Flight; a premier nonprofit air medical service provider committed to delivering critical care and rapid emergency response across south Texas.

“This new Bell 407GXi represents more than an aircraft, it's an investment in the safety and health of our community,” says Travis Patterson, chief executive officer, HALO-Flight. “Our work with Bell ensures we can continue providing the highest standard of emergency medical response for the people who depend on us most regardless of their ability to pay.”

“For more than three decades, HALO-Flight has been a vital lifeline for patients in need of urgent medical care,” adds Lane Evans, managing director for North America sales, Bell. “We are proud to continue supporting its mission with aircraft that embody reliability, safety and performance. The Bell 407GXi delivers the power and precision that emergency operators depend on every day.”

Founded in 1987, HALO-Flight serves a 28,000 square mile region throughout south Texas, providing life-saving air medical transport for residents in underserved and rural communities. With a fleet of Bell aircraft, HALO-Flight's highly trained medical and flight crews respond to emergencies ranging from accident scenes to hospital transfers, ensuring patients receive the fastest route to advanced care.

The Bell 407GXi offers enhanced mission capability through advanced avionics, exceptional manoeuvrability and proven reliability in the most demanding conditions. Its spacious cabin and high-performance engine allow HALO-Flight to respond swiftly and safely to emergencies while carrying critical care specialists and lifesaving equipment.

To further enhance fleet readiness, HALO-Flight's fleet of aircraft is enrolled in Bell's Customer Advantage Plan (CAP) programme. HALO-Flight is Bell's first customer to integrate CAP with HUMS across its fleet. This is an innovative approach to proactive maintenance and mission reliability. Combining both solutions helps operators like HALO-Flight ensure their aircraft are always ready for life-saving missions while optimising long-term operational efficiency.
