Nicholas Air strengthens pilot development through STEEL training
The STEEL Pilot Training Program was designed to cultivate discipline, technical mastery and leadership through mentorship by Nicholas Air’s most experienced pilots.

Nicholas Air, the Oxford, Mississippi-based provider of aircraft management, fractional ownership and jet membership, has launched its STEEL Pilot Training Program. The initiative aims to develop pilots who embody endurance, integrity and resilience, mirroring the refining process of steel to produce disciplined professionals committed to excellence in every aspect of flight and ground operations.

The programme caters to pilots at all career levels, from those pursuing private aviation or Part 135 roles to seasoned aviators seeking to expand their PIC or SIC experience. It offers structured mentorship, leadership training, scenario-based exercises and continued educational support designed to enhance technical skill, sound judgment and safety performance.

An education committee made up of Nicholas Air’s top pilots — including those with military special operations backgrounds and extensive private aviation experience — oversees the curriculum. Their combined expertise ensures each participant receives the benefit of both military discipline and refined operational precision.

Through the STEEL Pilot Training Program, Nicholas Air reinforces its commitment to safety, performance and professionalism while providing a pathway for pilots who value integrity, teamwork and continuous improvement.
