Nighthawk Flight Systems will begin deliveries of its Guardian avionics suite in December 2025. Prices will start at $33,200 for a single display and $39,900 for a dual display system. The lightweight cockpit display system will initially be available for Part 23 Class I/II, Part 22 and experimental aircraft.
Guardian represents Nighthawk’s entry into large-format avionics, offering pilots a modern, scalable and affordable cockpit solution. It features high-definition 3D synthetic vision and an extensive suite of display data, including obstacles, flight environment, terrain, weather, traffic and real-world imagery.
At the system’s core is the Guardian avionics NEST, which integrates individual functions with cockpit displays and existing aircraft systems. The NEST allows capabilities to be upgraded individually, removing the need to replace the entire system. Customers can retain existing equipment and modify displays as needed.
The initial configuration will include up to two 11.6-inch sunlight-readable touchscreen displays with tactile controls, connected by a single cable interface. The system will include AD/AHRS, TAWS, aviation charts and integration with Garmin and Avidyne GPS navigators. Additional seven-inch displays and new features will follow in early 2026.
To enhance capability and user experience, Nighthawk has partnered with several leading aviation technology providers, including Mid-Continent Instruments and Avionics, Electronics International, MOOG, PS Engineering and Aircraft Performance Group/Seattle Avionics.
“As we introduce our first large-format cockpit system, partnering with some of the most respected companies in aviation helps us deliver a truly superior solution,” says Paul Martin, CEO of Nighthawk Flight Systems. “These collaborations not only enhance the Guardian platform today but also pave the way for an expanded suite of capabilities in the future.”
