Skyward Aviation enhances Learjet fleet with Apcela connectivity
The company has completed the first phase of installations for its Apcela ONE ATG broadband platform, with 11 Learjet aircraft set to be upgraded by early 2026.
The Learjet 60XR will be among the first aircraft in Skyward’s fleet to receive the Apcela ONE ATG upgrade.

Skyward Aviation, a Pennsylvania-based full-service private jet management and charter company, has begun upgrading its fleet to the Apcela air-to-ground broadband inflight connectivity platform.

The Apcela ONE ATG system is being installed across Skyward’s Learjet aircraft, with plans to complete 11 installations by early 2026. The upgrade will enable passengers and crew to enjoy high-speed streaming, real-time data and continuous inflight communication.

All installations are being performed on-site at Skyward’s Washington maintenance facility by Brunswick Aviation Services, using Apcela’s hybrid installation programme. The approach integrates Apcela’s ATG dealer network expertise with Skyward’s in-house maintenance team to streamline installation during regular maintenance events, reducing downtime and cost while maintaining high quality.

“Connectivity has become an operational and customer experience imperative,” says Gene Pecar, CEO at Skyward Aviation. “Our clients expect reliable, high-speed Wi-Fi that allows them to work, communicate or relax seamlessly while in flight. Apcela’s ATG system delivers on that expectation, combining performance, reliability and value in a way that fits perfectly with our fleet strategy.”

Mark Casey, CEO at Apcela, adds, “Skyward Aviation has built a reputation for excellence in operations, safety and service. By adopting the Apcela ONE ATG platform across its fleet, Skyward is setting a new benchmark for business aviation connectivity, where broadband performance and operational efficiency meet.”

Skyward’s adoption of the Apcela system demonstrates the growing importance of high-performance broadband in business aviation, enhancing passenger experience while strengthening operational efficiency.
