Dassault Falcon Jet has opened a new maintenance facility at Melbourne Orlando International airport in Florida. The 250,000 sq ft facility expands the company’s presence in the Americas.

The facility can accommodate all current Falcon models, including the in-development ultra long-range Falcon 10X, and is capable of performing major maintenance and modifications on up to 14 Falcon aircraft simultaneously. Services include line maintenance, C-checks, engineering and modification work, supported by workshops, customer offices, lounges and a new 54,000 sq ft paint shop.

“Our state-of-the-art Melbourne MRO adds significant capacity in the Americas and puts more service capability closer to our Falcon customers,” explains Eric Trappier, chairman and CEO of Dassault Aviation. “Dassault already has a large footprint in the United States, which includes 2,500 employees, aircraft completions and sales.”

Florida Governor Ron DeSantis comments: “Dassault Aviation's new facility in Melbourne strengthens our state's role as a global leader in aerospace and advanced manufacturing. Dassault's investment is a testament to Florida's skilled workforce, pro-business environment and commitment to innovation. This new service centre will create high-quality jobs, expand opportunities for Floridians and ensure that our state continues to be at the forefront of aviation excellence.”

Dassault Aviation now has over 60 service locations worldwide, including factory-owned and authorised facilities. The Melbourne facility is the latest in the company’s ongoing global MRO expansion, with recent additions including a Sao Paulo facility in Brazil for Latin America, a heavy maintenance facility in Dubai in 2023 and another heavy maintenance facility in Kuala Lumpur in 2024.
