Velocity FBO Network has acquired the fixed-base operator assets of Havasu Air Center at Lake Havasu City Airport in Arizona. The move marked its second acquisition of 2025, bringing its portfolio to four North American locations.
The sellers retained their aircraft management operations and their aircraft maintenance business, Northstar Aviation Services. Havasu Air Center co-founder Dante Marinelli will remain involved as an advisor to Velocity.
“Building Havasu Air Center has been one of the great privileges of my career, and I'm excited to see it enter its next chapter as part of the Velocity FBO Network,” says Marinelli. “I look forward to remaining involved as an advisor, helping the team uphold the customer-first culture our community and customers have come to expect.”
“Havasu Air Center has built a reputation for outstanding service and operational safety, and we are committed to honouring that legacy while bringing our broader platform's resources to bear,” adds Velocity’s CEO Chad Farischon.
Tallvine operating director Ed Zwirn says the Lake Havasu site represents the fourth location in the growing network, adding that it is part of a focused strategy to build a best-in-class platform. Partner Mark Clark says Tallvine incepted Velocity with the conviction that the FBO sector is set for long-term growth, and he expects to add more locations in the year ahead.
Velocity’s existing facilities include FBOs at Willow Run Airport in Detroit, Kissimmee Gateway Airport in Orlando, and St. Simons Island Airport in Georgia, following its acquisition of the U.S. assets of Odyssey Aviation earlier this year.
