ACTSI enhances wheel and tyre shop output
ACTSI conducts eddy current, ultrasonic, magnetic particle and dye penetrant inspections on aircraft inducted into the facility. With the new capability, ACTSI can now perform NDT requirements across Asia Pacific.
Gulfstreams, King Airs and Globals are supported.

Aviation Concepts Technical Services Incorporated (ACTSI) is expanding capabilities at its independent wheel and tyre shop, a dedicated facility that increases the Philippine company's already FAA-approved wheel and tyre services (WTSS) under its current Limited Accessory Rating.

This expansion strengthens ACTSI's capability to support a wide range of business aircraft, offering tyre change, teardown and build-up with NDT as required, repair and now complete overhaul for 19-wheel assembly part numbers. Supported aircraft include the Gulfstream G280, GIV-X (G350/G450), GV-SP (G550) and G650/G650ER, Textron Beechcraft King Air B200/B300 and Bombardier Global XRS and Global 7500.

“This expansion is a strategic step forward,” notes Stephen Klohr, director of quality at the Subic Bay International airport-based MRO. “It allows us to deliver faster turnaround times and more focused support for our clients, while reinforcing our position as a trusted MRO partner in the region.”

ACTSI enhanced its existing Air Agency Certificate capabilities for NDT with limited non-destructive testing. Using its Level III NDT technician, ACTSI conducted eddy current, ultrasonic, magnetic particle and dye penetrant inspections on aircraft inducted into the facility. With the new capability, ACTSI can now perform NDT requirements outstation in the Asia Pacific region, receive parts from outside the repair station and provide certified documentation of the NDT work.

The wheel and tyre shop reflects ACTSI's continued investment in infrastructure with its growing suite of component support services, such as its sheet metal repair shop and battery repair shop (NiCad and sealed lead acid battery).
