EHang has signed a memorandum of understanding with Kazakhstan’s Allur Group to jointly expand urban air mobility in Central Asia.
Allur Group intends to purchase 50 EH216 series eVTOL aircraft in phases, starting with 10 EH216-S passenger and 10 EH216-L cargo units. These will form the backbone of Kazakhstan’s first UAM operations centre, which will provide flight operations, technical training and airworthiness certification testing to prepare for future commercial activity.
The two companies will cooperate on passenger transport, logistics and emergency response, while exploring an eVTOL assembly facility with production capacity of up to 200 aircraft per year. EHang will help establish a local supply chain by connecting battery, motor and materials suppliers.
During a visit to EHang’s Guangzhou base, Allur Group chairman Andrey Lavrentyev flew in the EH216-S before signing the MOU. He says: “Partnering with EHang will help us build a three-dimensional air transportation ecosystem. This collaboration is a starting point to driving innovation in urban mobility, smart city development, logistics efficiency and emergency response capabilities.”
EHang founder and CEO Huazhi Hu says: “This partnership marks a milestone in taking China’s civil aviation technologies to the global stage. With Kazakhstan as a strategic launchpad, we will replicate mature eVTOL technologies across Central Asia.”
EHang COO Zhao Wang adds: “Allur Group’s technical resources and market channels make it an ideal partner. Together we will accelerate low-altitude economy ecosystems and create an aerial ‘sky bridge’ connecting Asia and Europe.”
The agreement was signed during the eighth China-Kazakhstan Entrepreneurs Committee meeting, attended by senior officials from both countries. Kazakhstan’s First Deputy Prime Minister Roman Sklyar congratulated the partners and said Kazakhstan would reference EHang’s international experience when developing local eVTOL legislation and standards.
