Woolsey receives NATA William A. Ong Memorial Award
The National Air Transportation Association has recognised Roger Woolsey for nearly four decades of aviation leadership, presenting him with the association’s highest honour for service to the industry.
Woolsey has logged more than 26,000 flight hours with multiple type ratings.

Roger Woolsey, owner and CEO of Million Air Interlink and REW Investments, has been named the 2025 recipient of the National Air Transportation Association’s William A. “Bill” Ong Memorial Award. The award is NATA’s highest honour for extraordinary achievement and extended service to the general aviation industry.

Woolsey began his aviation career at 19, becoming the youngest FAA air carrier operator in U.S. history. He later launched Prestige Touring and American Jet International before acquiring Million Air in 2002. Under his leadership, Million Air expanded to a network of more than 38 FBOs worldwide.

Curt Castagna, NATA president and CEO, says: “Roger Woolsey’s impact on aviation has been profound. From his early days as a young air carrier operator to his long-standing leadership of Million Air, Roger has embodied the entrepreneurial spirit, passion for safety and commitment to excellence that define the Ong Award.”

Woolsey holds an Airline Transport Pilot certificate, multiple type ratings and an A&P mechanic’s licence, with over 26,000 flight hours.

Roger Woolsey says: “Aviation has been a lifelong passion for me. I am truly humbled and honoured to accept this award, which reflects not just my journey, but the incredible people and teams who share this passion with me.”

He will be formally recognised during NATA’s 2025 Aviation Business Conference in Dallas, Texas, on November 18, 2025.
