ROAM (Records Online Asset Management), an aircraft records platform developed by Gamit, has expanded into predictive maintenance.
ROAM is already used by operators including SAS, Transavia France, Air Tahiti Nui, Condor, DRF Luftrettung, SmartLynx and Portugalia. It digitises complex records ecosystems and now enables users to anticipate maintenance issues.
“This is more than a technical feature update,” says Chris Leese-Wood, chief operating officer at Gamit. “It's a mindset shift from data hindsight to foresight.”
With predictive maintenance, ROAM extracts performance trends from operational records including line checks, C-checks, part replacement logs and scanned technician notes. Its AI-driven OCR and metadata platform RDOC analyses unstructured data across fleets and aircraft types to identify patterns and forecast failures.
ROAM integrates with M&E systems such as AMOS, Trax, Ultramain and SAP. Engineers can view colour-coded parts by risk level and expected lifespan, while custom diagrams help map dependencies and assess cascading risks.
By forecasting likely failures within future cycles, operators can minimise AOG events, optimise inventory and improve passenger reliability. Backed by Gamit’s engineering expertise and AMAC Aerospace’s global reach, ROAM continues to advance technical records and asset management.
