Business jet and piston aircraft shipments rose in first half
GAMA’s report on the first six months of 2025 showed more deliveries of business jets and piston aircraft, though turboprop and helicopter sectors recorded declines.

Through the first half of 2025, business jet and piston aircraft deliveries rose while turboprops and helicopters recorded fewer shipments, according to the General Aviation Manufacturers Association’s (GAMA) second quarter shipment and billing report.

Through the second quarter of 2025, piston aircraft shipments rose 5.1% to 810 units, turboprops fell 4.3% to 268 aircraft, and business jets rose 9.9% to 354. The value of fixed-wing aircraft deliveries reached $12.3 billion, up 9.9%.

Helicopter shipments for the first six months of 2025 fell slightly. Piston helicopters were down by one unit at 106, and turbine helicopters declined 2.3% to 302. The value of civil-commercial helicopter deliveries stood at $2.0 billion.
