Airtask strengthens UK footprint through PAL Aerospace acquisition
The acquisition combines Airtask’s sovereign UK operations with PAL Aerospace’s global experience, securing continuity of service and expanding future opportunities.
Airtask’s work spans maritime surveillance, fisheries enforcement, atmospheric research and island lifeline services.

PAL Aerospace has completed its acquisition of Airtask Group, subject to regulatory matters. Airtask, in service since 1983, is a UK provider of integrated aviation solutions covering maritime surveillance, fisheries enforcement, atmospheric research and island lifeline services.

The agreement pairs PAL Aerospace’s global special mission capabilities with Airtask’s UK expertise, reinforcing in-country ISR capacity and ensuring continuity for government and commercial customers. Airtask will remain a UK-led subsidiary, maintaining sovereign operations while gaining access to additional resources to advance innovation, sustainability and export growth.

Julie Simper, managing director of Airtask Group, says: “From the outset, our priority was to work with like-minded people who put the mission and the people behind it first. As impressive as the technology is, you can’t deliver these missions without skilled pilots, operators and ground teams. This partnership brings the resources and reach to grow our capabilities while keeping that mission-first culture intact. I look forward to continuing to lead Airtask Group alongside PAL Aerospace while ensuring we remain a trusted partner for our customers.”

The combined organisations expect to accelerate R&D, integrate advanced mission technology, expand infrastructure and enhance personnel presence in the UK, delivering greater value to customers at home and worldwide.
