VIP Completions, based in Fort Lauderdale, Florida, and architecture studio Yodezeen have completed a Gulfstream G550 refurbishment in just eight weeks. The project served a first-time aircraft owner, with VIP Completions’ sister company SmartJets brokering the acquisition.
This first-time collaboration combined Yodezeen’s design vision with VIP Completions’ craftsmanship and project management. The floorplan includes a forward club configuration, two forward-facing seats, a four-seat mid-cabin conference area and aft cabin with dual divans.
Design features include fibre optic “starlight” ceiling lights, carbon fibre accents, eucalyptus wood bulkhead panels, custom Garrett leather seating, Loro Piana cashmere divans, red stone countertops and Italian hand-tufted carpet.
Cabin systems include an Alto audio installation with 14 speakers and 10 subwoofers, a custom CMS with touch panels, RGB LED lighting, a Plex media server and new HD monitors.
Duncan Aviation completed exterior paintwork with a platinum pearl and cumulus gray pearl two-tone scheme.
“We are very pleased with the results of this project because we helped our client convert their vision into a reality,” says Ben Shirazi, president of VIP Completions and SmartJets.
“This Gulfstream G550 project demanded absolute precision and care blended with outstanding design,” adds Arthur Sharf, co-founder and lead architect at Yodezeen.
