Air bp celebrates three decades of fuel partnership at Biggin Hill
The anniversary will be marked at ACE 2025, as the airport prepares to highlight its innovation, sustainability and service improvements
Linda Tames, Air bp Northwest Europe sales manager, and Robert Walters, London Biggin Hill Airport business development director.

Air bp is celebrating 30 years of collaboration with London Biggin Hill Airport, with the milestone set to be recognised at the upcoming Air Charter Expo on 9 September.

Air bp manages the airport’s fuel farm with Jet A-1 and Avgas 100LL alongside training support and supply vehicles for into-plane fuelling. It also supports the airport’s heritage hangar, where Spitfire and Hurricane aircraft are based.

Biggin Hill was the first UK airport to receive sustainable aviation fuel from Air bp and was an early adopter of its Safe2go airfield automation services designed to improve safety and reduce risk.

Robert Walters, business development director, London Biggin Hill Airport says: “We are delighted to be marking 30 years of continued support and trust in Air bp. This long-standing relationship is very important to us and our customers, and it has proved to be a most dependable partner. Thank you Air bp.”

Linda Tames, Northwest Europe sales manager, general aviation and military, Air bp adds: “Thank you to London Biggin Hill for trusting in Air bp, keenly embracing our new innovations to improve the experience of our mutual customers. The airport is renowned for delivering excellent customer service. Its commitment to innovating complements our ethos as its long-standing fuel supplier.”

The airport has seen an increase in larger aircraft and long-haul visitors since Bombardier’s service centre opened in 2017.
