Gama Aviation's FBO at Sharjah International airport in the UAE has once again achieved Stage III accreditation IS-BAH, the highest level attainable in the programme.
The 2025 renewal marks the second consecutive Stage III award for the Sharjah FBO and coincides with a significant milestone: 10 years of continuous participation in the IS-BAH programme. Gama Aviation's Sharjah facility is the first in the Middle East region to reach this decade-long achievement, underscoring its commitment to operational excellence, safety and service quality.
IS-BAH is a voluntary, global code of best practices for business aviation ground handling, developed by the IBAC. It is designed to promote the highest levels of safety and professionalism, with Stage III representing sustained performance and continuous improvement over time.
Since enrolling in 2015, the Sharjah FBO team has worked diligently to embed IS-BAH principles into every aspect of its operation. Over the past decade, this dedication has been recognised through successive accreditations, ongoing investment in training and the introduction of enhanced safety management processes.
In achieving this 10-year milestone, the Sharjah FBO stands as a leader in the Middle East's business aviation sector. Being first in the region to maintain IS-BAH accreditation for a full decade reflects Gama Aviation's long-term approach to safety culture, operational discipline and client service excellence.
Tom Murphy, managing director, FBO services at Gama Aviation, comments: “Achieving Stage III IS-BAH for the second time is a reflection of our team's consistency, professionalism and unwavering focus on our clients' needs. Reaching 10 years in the programme and being the first in the region to do so is a testament to the strength of our safety culture and our commitment to delivering a first-class experience at Sharjah.”
Khurram Bhatti, SMS and quality manager for the Sharjah FBO, adds: “IS-BAH standards are about more than compliance; they are about embedding operational quality and safety into everything we do. This renewal is the result of our team's dedication, and I am proud to see our efforts recognised on an international level.”
As Gama Aviation celebrates this dual achievement, the company remains focused on continuous improvement. With a decade of IS-BAH experience behind it, the Sharjah FBO will continue to invest in people, processes and facilities to meet the evolving needs of business aviation clients across the region.
