Daher Aircraft has created a permanent presence in Brazil to support rising demand for its TBM and Kodiak turboprop aircraft. The company will open an office in São Paulo to serve as its Brazilian headquarters, overseeing customer support and development.
Nicolas Chabbert, CEO of Daher's Aircraft division, says: “With a thriving general aviation community and an increasing demand for both high-performance and utility aircraft, our TBM and Kodiak are perfectly aligned with the operational needs across Brazil. Establishing a local presence will enable us to support our customers more directly and it signals our intent to grow with Brazil's aviation future.”
The pressurised six-seat TBM 960 has a maximum cruise speed of 610 km/h and range of 3,204 km. It features a digital e-throttle, dimmable windows and Garmin G3000 avionics with HomeSafe autoland.
The Kodiak range, including the Kodiak 100 and larger Kodiak 900, are unpressurised aircraft with STOL capability, G1000 NXi avionics and durable design for rugged environments. The Kodiak 100 carries a useful load of 1,600kg and can loiter for up to 10 hours. The Kodiak 900 adds extra cabin space, a more powerful engine and improved fuel efficiency.
