Gulfstream adds Arizona TTC to support technician growth
The Mesa facility provided classroom and lab space for instruction as part of Gulfstream’s expanding MRO and A&P hiring efforts.
The Mesa TTC includes a full G200 aircraft and a G700 engine for technician instruction.

Gulfstream Aerospace has opened a new Technical Training Center (TTC) in Mesa, Arizona, expanding its workforce development efforts and training capacity. The facility is Gulfstream’s second TTC, following the first in Savannah, Georgia, which opened in 2015.

The Mesa TTC includes over 10,000 square feet of classroom and lab space, and provides on-the-job training led by Gulfstream instructors. Training equipment includes a G650 fuselage segment, G700 engine, G600 simulator, G200 aircraft and an empennage assembly. These will be used for technician training in sheet metal work, avionics, mechanical maintenance and safety.

“The addition of our newest Technical Training Center in Mesa provides even more opportunities for employees to enhance their skills,” says Lor Izzard, senior vice president, Gulfstream Customer Support. “Investing in workforce development and training ensures our customers receive the industry-leading support Gulfstream is known for.”

The TTC supports the nearby MRO facility at Mesa Gateway Airport, which opened earlier this year and has already created over 300 jobs. Gulfstream is also continuing its partnership with Chandler-Gilbert Community College, hiring 40 students so far through its A&P maintenance programmes.
