TAM Aviacao Executiva has introduced another feature to its service centre in Jundiaí, Brazil: the design centre, a space fully prepared to facilitate the customisation and refurbishment of aircraft, with sophistication, comfort and convenience.

The new space brings together various interior samples, including fabrics, leathers, carpets and stitching, making it easier to choose finishes. It also allows clients to define the aircraft's paint layout. To assist in the development of customised interior design projects, TAM AE also offers specialised technical and aesthetic consulting services on-site, guiding the selection of materials, combinations and solutions with a focus on comfort and harmony in the interior space.

According to Wellington Amorim, director of TAM AE's service centre, aircraft customisation involves defining colours, materials, textures and finishes, always based on international design trends. Its portfolio of premium finishes is constantly updated to reflect these trends and offer the latest market trends. All projects are developed in partnership with the Austrian company F/List, a global supplier of exclusive interiors for executive aircraft.

“We refurbish the aircraft's interior, replacing carpets, side fabrics (such as Ultra Leather and suede), seats (frame, foam and upholstery), decorative metalwork and seatbelt webbing, aligning them with our customers' needs and desires,” he says. “The entire process is guided by customisation, aesthetic alignment and high-quality workmanship.”

If the customer wants to give their aircraft even more personality and sophistication, there are several bedding options, including blankets, pillows, bed and table sets, towels and cushions, all with the option of custom embroidery.

The design centre also has a space equipped with lighting fixtures that simulate different aircraft environments, helping customers visualise how the colours and textures of materials vary depending on the lighting.

“Our range of customisation services covers all makes and models of executive aircraft, including helicopters, always offering the most up-to-date equipment on the market, with comfort and efficiency. This means aircraft can undergo maintenance, upgrades, painting and interior renovations in a single location, providing customer convenience,” explains Amorim.

In addition to revitalising the interior, customers can also define the aircraft's paint layout and have it painted in TAM AE's paint bay, the largest and most modern in executive aviation in Latin America, equipped with an exhaust system, efficient lighting, particle filtration, complete sealing and Virtek Iris 3D technology, which speeds up application with high precision.

And anyone who visits LABACE will be able to see firsthand how it all works. The company has brought a pocket version of its new design centre to the event, where it is exhibiting, allowing customers and visitors to immerse themselves in the space, get to know the samples and materials available, and experience a similar experience to those who visit the space seeking exclusive, customised designs for their aircraft.
