VIP Completions and architecture and design studio Yodezeen have won the Aviation Interior Design/VIP Completion category at the International Yacht & Aviation Awards for a refurbished Gulfstream G550 business jet.
Presented by Design et al and Luxe et al magazines, the awards recognise innovation across luxury aviation and yachting. The ceremony took place last week at Venice's Scuola Grande della Misericordia.
The award-winning aircraft was delivered in August 2025 following a comprehensive cabin transformation designed to blend luxury materials with contemporary styling. The project is one of a series of high-end refurbishment programmes undertaken by VIP Completions as demand for bespoke cabin upgrades remains strong.
The Fort Lauderdale-based completions specialist has reported a busy schedule spanning refurbishment projects on aircraft including a Boeing 767 VIP airliner, Dassault Falcon 2000LX and multiple Gulfstream G550s, with additional work booked into future maintenance slots.
Features of the award-winning G550 include custom fibre optic “starlight” lighting integrated into the headliner, carbon fibre accents, eucalyptus wood panelling, bespoke leather seating, cashmere-upholstered divans, red stone countertops and a hand-crafted Italian carpet.
“We are very proud to share this prestigious design award with our partners at Yodezeen,” says Ben Shirazi, president of VIP Completions. “Working together, we successfully converted our client's dream into a reality. The Yodezeen team brought an unprecedented degree of design sophistication to this project, while our teams rolled out all aspects of implementation and project management oversight. We were very proud to deliver this beautiful aircraft to our valued client and we are again proud to accept this award. Thank you to the Design et al team.”
“Recognition at this level is about more than aesthetics; it affirms the precision, discipline and collaboration behind the project,” adds Arthur Sharf, co-founder and lead architect at Yodezeen.
