Aero Centers, a US portfolio of full-service FBOs, has acquired the Sheltair Aviation FBO facility located at Lakeland Linder International airport in Florida. This strategic addition complements Aero Centers' existing FBO operations onsite and reinforces the company's commitment to delivering high-quality services to general aviation and business jet customers throughout central Florida.

With the acquisition, Aero Centers' total KLAL footprint now exceeds 30 acres and includes more than 125,000 sq ft of hangar and office space, offering significant development potential for expanded operations and future growth. The Sheltair facility adds valuable infrastructure, location advantages and a full suite of services for flight crews and passengers. Situated between Tampa and Orlando, the FBO is a preferred stop for both business and leisure aviation traffic.

“This acquisition represents our continued investment in locations that serve high-growth regions with strong aviation infrastructure,” says Michael Scheeringa, co-founder and co-chief executive officer of SAR Trilogy Management, Aero Center's holding company. “Lakeland is ideally positioned to complement our portfolio, and we are excited to bring Aero Centers' high-touch customer experience and operational excellence to this dynamic market.”

Geoff Heck, president and chief operating officer of Aero Centers, adds: “We're proud to welcome the Sheltair LAL FBO team and customers into the Aero Centers family. Our goal is to continue offering the exceptional service Sheltair is known for while introducing enhancements that reflect our commitment to operational excellence.”

Heck also notes: “We look forward to growing with Lakeland Linder International and its long-term plans for expansion. We're especially excited for the potential to further the longstanding partnership with Sun 'n' Fun, and to support the airport's evolving role in cargo and commercial service growth.”

Aero Centers plans to invest in facility improvements, enhance customer amenities and bring its hospitality-focused approach to operations in Lakeland. The location will continue to serve as a convenient destination with our thoughtfully crafted Aero Centers service experience for aircraft operators across the region.

Aero Centers already has an established FBO at KLAL. With this transition, it becomes the sole FBO on the field.
