Aircraft Industries has been granted approval to operate its Let L-410 Turbolet aircraft in Malaysia. The Civil Aviation Authority of Malaysia (CAAM) validated the European EASA type certificate, enabling operations in the country and region.

The certification process included a technical and operational assessment of the aircraft, as well as a full review of type documentation, existing certificates and regulatory compliance. A team of specialists from Aircraft Industries oversaw documentation and communication throughout the process, which was completed within a few months.

Malaysia's certification process aligns with international norms but includes additional domestic requirements. Aircraft Industries' approval not only confirms adherence to EASA standards but also to those set by CAAM.

Malaysia is seen as a regional gateway, and several local operators are in talks with the company. Interest has centred on remote transport, humanitarian use and government programmes. Aircraft Industries also intends to provide service and training support alongside any deliveries.

The L-410’s technical robustness and versatility were cited as factors contributing to the aircraft’s appeal in the region.
