North Memorial Health has selected Brazos Safety Systems to provide flight data monitoring for its Air Care helicopter fleet. The system offers post-flight analytics to help identify trends, reduce risk and enhance operational safety.
“Through our collaboration with Brazos Safety Systems, we hope to continue setting the standard for safety and quality among helicopter air ambulance operators,” says Tate Poynor, director, aviation operations at North Memorial Health. “Air Care is now able to improve standardisation and training in flight operations while maintaining a just culture through trend analysis. All of the data is collected and presented in a useable way by a highly skilled professional from Brazos Safety. I am very pleased with our implementation into our quality management system.”
Air Care serves a five-state region and completes over 2,600 flights a year with seven Leonardo A109s and two H135s. The programme is part of the Level I trauma centre-led North Memorial Health system and has been operating for more than 40 years.
Brazos Safety Systems VP of sales and marketing Tom Nied says: “North Memorial Health’s commitment to safety and operational excellence made it a natural partner for us.”
